Archie Post 5 Miler

“Oldest race in Vermont”
COURSE: Certified (VT13006JK) point to point course has sweeping views of the Green Mountains and is entirely on bike path. Start is off Dorset Street on Holbrook Road (near VT. National Country Club) and then follows the South Burlington bike path network along Dorset, Swift, Farrell, and the Burlington Country Club finishing at Gutterson Field House.
REGISTRATION: Pre-registration encouraged, fill out form located here or register online (online registration closes Aug 30). Race day registration at Gutterson Field House at UVM in Burlington, Vermont. (6:45-7:20 a.m.)
RESTRICTIONS: Open to all runners 12 and older. For runners under the age of 12, the runner must be accompanied by a parent or guardian throughout the race.
ENTRY FEE: $20 Pre-registration/ $25 race day (GMAA members subtract $5)
PRIZES: Awards to top male and female. Prizes to age group winners.
KIDS RACE: A free 1/4 mile kid’s race will be held at the Archie Post fields at the end of the 5 Miler at 9:00a.m.
DIRECTIONS: Take Interstate 89 to exit 14. Get on route 2 west. Turn south onto Spear St. (via “jug handle” on right). Field House is on the right after 1/4 mile.
GETTING TO THE START: The start is 3.5 miles from registration on Holbrook Road. Bus will leave Gutterson at 7:35. Participants may take the provided bus or run to the start. Please do no park at the start on Holbrook Road.

NOTE: GMAA/Insurance rules prohibit running with a baby jogger or dog. For safety reasons and as a courtesy to fellow runners, GMAA strongly discourages the use of headphones.
