A week after the epic Champlain Islands Marathon a

A week after the epic Champlain Islands Marathon and Half is the equally epic Hills Are Alive 5k Trail Run. This race takes place at trails around the Arrowhead Golf Club in Milton. The course is not really hilly, but has several sections that are like a roller coaster for runners, which makes it one of the funnest courses out there.

All runners receive a unique Woodal for finishing, and afterwards there will be a costume contest and a huge raffle. Sign up at link in bio or day of the race, October 27th.

Running is a team sport, and you’ll see lots of teamwork at the Champlain Islands Marathon and Half. The event is sold out, but if you’re already registered, bring your team with you to cheer you on, enjoy peak foliage and peak performance in the islands!
If you don’t have a runner to team up with you can team up with the awesome volunteers. We have many fun tasks from start to finish.

What a Weekend! On Saturday we had the 50th Annual

What a Weekend! On Saturday we had the 50th Annual Apple Harvest 10K in Shelburne! Congratulations to everyone who raced with us and thanks to the race director, Ruth and all the volunteers for an excellent event. Special recognition to Alex who stayed up late on Friday to make some delicious apple crisp! Results and photos are now posted on RunSignup. Huge shoutout to Lee Krohn for the excellent race photos. On Sunday the team went to Gloucester, MA to compete at the Lone Gull 10K and then jump in the ocean afterwards! What a rush!

Here are the group runs we have lined up for you this week:

Tuesday 5:45 PM at ECHO. Bikepath miles with Jess. Please note: this group run is typically on the “fast side” with average paces around 7:30 min/mile.

Wednesday 6PM at Cochrans Ski Area in Richmond. Meet in the lower parking lot and run trails with Nicholas. 5 or 6 hilly miles. No-drop pace. Bring a headlamp!

Thursday 5:45 PM at UVM Outdoor Track. Group Workout.

Friday 9 AM at Skirack. There will be an option for a 4 mile or a 5.5 mile route at a casual pace. As a reminder, GMAA members get 15% off running shoes/merchandise.

Sunday 8 AM at A_Dog Skatepark in Burlington for a long run on the Bikepath.

Group runs and workouts are free and open to all. Hope to see you out there!
