This was a fantastic race!! I’ve never run a half marathon and everyone at the race was so nice! (the shirts & medals were great too!!)
This event brings out everything special in Vermont.
Highly recommend this race! I’ve never seen so many happy, friendly race officials and volunteers, and the logistics (parking, bib pick up, porta potty access) were an easy-breezy dream! The stunning scenery throughout the course was icing on the cake. I can’t wait to run this again next year!
Very well organized, well marked course, the location is unbeatable and the weather (which is of course out of all control!). also the t-shirt is fabulous! The locals cheering us on!
Green Mountain Marathon was such a wonderful race, beautiful views, foliage, and plenty of water/food stops. Not a very busy race which is nice if you don’t want to feel overwhelmed! I would absolutely recommend this race if you’re in the area.
This was my first standalone marathon and couldn’t have been more pleased. Starting with a very affordable entry rate, you get such high quality amenities! Shirts and medals and aid stations packed with perfect supplies (gels, gatorade, etc) all along a beautiful lakefront course with just enough rolling hills to keep it interesting. I nailed a huge race goal because of this awesome package that this marathon combines together. Thanks GMAA!
What a beautiful and beautifully run half marathon! This race was the perfect way to experience fall in Vermont. Running by farms and along Lake Champlain kept me from noticing all but that last hill at mile 12. As for the logistics, bib pickup in Burlington was easy, parking was plentiful at the race start, there were no crazy “arrive an hour early and wait” rules, and there were plenty of aid stations—staffed by friendly volunteers—along the course.
This is an outstanding event–well organized, a beautiful course, and really friendly supportive fans, organizers and volunteers. I’ll be back 🙂
This marathon has the easiest logistics you will ever find for a marathon! It was well organized, had excellent aid stations, beautiful scenery and friendly faces all around!
This event was excellent. The route is beautiful with great views. It had a nice friendly community vibe and all kinds of details that I appreciated. Course was well marked each mile, there was a race AM packet pick up option, and it was just a very well organized race! The results were available on a big monitor soon after finishing, the post race food included hot chili, apple cider, donuts, and more, plus the shirts are great. Race morning was stress free with easy parking and plenty of porta potties. The awards were cool mugs. Great job Nik Ponzio and your volunteers!
Great fall coastal run. Amazing support. 5 out of 5. Thank you for a great family day out, my wife and son had fun at the playground and apple orchard while I ran.
