2026 Sap Run Race Recap

To all volunteers, participants, sponsors, and spectators of Kaynor’s Sap Run,

Thank you so much for being a part of the race yesterday! We were lucky to have a beautiful sunny day despite the cold temperatures.

We were fortunate to have a great crew of volunteers with Brooky Sherwood, Ruth Blauwiekel, and Liz Champagne helping with registration, Bradley Cech and Nicholas Ponzio photographing the event, Nancy and Jim Rudder parking cars, Meredith Breiland, Jen Nachbur, Greg Sleeper, and Alissa Wilson marshaling the course, Anthony Downs, Diane Fuchs, Will Wheeler, Gordon MacFarland, and Erin Fisher helping at the finish line, and Julie Sleeper, Laurie Nasta, and Andrew Chase helping with refreshments.

Thank you to Aliza Lapierre and UnTapped for providing samples prior to the race, and to SkiRack for their support and help with prizes.

The race results have been posted here!

As first time race directors, we learned a lot today. We understand the course was a bit long. We apologize for this, and plan to rectify it for next year’s race.

We would like to congratulate all runners, and would like to acknowledge the top 2 female finishers: Jennifer Markham and Meghan Owens, top non-binary finisher: Erzsebet Nagy, and top 2 male finishers: Colin McCarthy and Garrett Pitt.

Race photographs are available on an online gallery (courtesy of Bradley Cech) and on RunSignup (courtesy of Nicholas Ponzio).

Thank you both for capturing the race!

We hope to see you next year!

With gratitude,

Rachel Rudder & Bradley Sleeper
