The weather held out for the 9th GMAA Equinox Trail Race on Sunday, June 16. Trail conditions were “soft”, but very manageable. See the Results page for details on the 5K and 10K results.

We’re an all-age, all-abilities USATF running club in Vermont. Join us for a group run or race to find out what we are all about!
Whether you're starting to train for a spring race Whether you're starting to train for a spring race, or just trying to stay sane through the winter, running with others is a proven strategy with many benefits! Come check out a group run and find out for yourself! Here's what we have lined up for runs this week. Tuesday 12/3: Meet at ECHO on the Waterfront at 5:45 PM for a 6-mile out-and-back on the bike path along Lake Champlain. BRING A HEADLAMP!   Wednesday 12/4: The Wednesday Night Trail Run with RTRC. Meet at Cochran Ski Area, lower lot. Run starts at 5:30 pm. No-drop pace but BRING A HEADLAMP! Saturday 12/7: Indoor Track Workout at UVM Gutterson Field House starting at 8:30 AM. Bring indoor shoes (no headlamp needed.) Also Saturday 12/7: Skirack Run at 9:00 AM. Meet in rear parking lot. There will be an option for a 4 mile or a 5.5 mile route at a casual pace.  As a reminder, GMAA members get 15% off running shoes/merchandise at Skirack. Sunday 12/8: Church of the Long Run. Feb 15, 2025 is our Annual Membership Meeting and Awards Banquet. More details in the coming weeks.
Church of the Long Run returns to Richmond startin Church of the Long Run returns to Richmond starting this Sunday, December 1st and going through the winter training season. Start at 8AM from Volunteers Green, Bridge Street, every Sunday! Come run long with us!
Indoor Season Starts TODAY! Come get fast with us! Indoor Season Starts TODAY! Come get fast with us! Tuesday 11/26: Indoor track workout at the Gutterson Field House starting at 6:00 PM, an opportunity open to all GMAA members. Parking is in the Gutterson lot, similar to where we park during the outdoor track workouts. Please enter the track through the side entrance by the soccer field (under the gym on the second floor), and we will meet on the lower track. There will be a scheduled workout, but you can also just jog on the track if you would like. Bring clean shoes for indoor. Other runs this week include: Also Tuesday: Meet at ECHO on the Waterfront at 5:45 pm for an out and back on the bike path along Lake Champlain. BRING A HEADLAMP! Fundraiser, food drive for Feeding Chittenden. Saturday: Run from the SkiRack at 9 am! There will be an option for a 4 mile or a 5.5 mile route at a casual pace. Back by Popular Demand! The GMAA Long Runs will re Back by Popular Demand! The GMAA Long Runs will return to Richmond starting December 1st, 2024. Start at 8 AM from Volunteers Green. Hilly 11-mile loop on a mix of dirt and pavement with options to add on or turn back early. We have TWO options for you on Tuesday evening!  1. The normally scheduled "Tuesday Tempo Run" with @jessiemarinii Meet at ECHO on the Waterfront at 5:45 pm for an out-and-back on the bike path along Lake Champlain. BRING A HEADLAMP! 2. Indoor Track Workout at UVM. Come do intervals on the dry track at Gutterson Fieldhouse. 6:00 PM. Bring a clean pair of shoes for indoors. Wednesday Night Trail Run series continues in collaboration with @richmondtrailrunningclub. Meet at the Cochran Ski Area, lower lot. Run starts at 5:30 pm. Bring a headlamp and hi-vis clothing.  Thursday: 48th ANNUAL TURKEY TROT! Our Thanksgiving Day tradition - a 5K Race on the Cross Country Track at UVM. 10AM start from Gutterson. Race admission by donation. Fundraiser / Food Drive for Feeding Chittenden Saturday: Run from the SkiRack at 9 am! There will be an option for a 4 mile or a 5.5 mile route at a casual pace. The GMAA Turkey Trot is Thanksgiving morning at 10 The GMAA Turkey Trot is Thanksgiving morning at 10am at Gutterson Field House. We request a $5 donation to Feeding Chittenden, or $10 per family, and food donations are welcome, too! This is a fun run, and times are not kept. Registration is at gmaa.run, or before the race.
The Hills are Alive with Runners this morning! The The Hills are Alive with Runners this morning! The 5k trail run at the Arrowhead Golf Course took place with perfect conditions, but a little cool. Check out the photos (link in story and bio).
Boo! This Sunday is The Hills Are Alive 5k, one of Boo! This Sunday is The Hills Are Alive 5k, one of the funnest trail runs around. The trails take you around the woods surrounding the Arrowhead Golf Club in Milton, and all finishers receive a unique Woodal. Afterwards is a celebration with cider donuts, costume contest, and a huge raffle. Register at www.gmaa.run.
